Thank you to the Sierra Pacific Foundation for the $1500 award to be used towards continued improvements at the Pond on the South end of the Village. The gift will be used to stock fish and landscape the area so that the village has a little getaway for everybody!
Please keep your eyes out for damage to the pond/park area. The village pond had big rocks thrown on the ice when it was just hardening up! The DPW guys have worked hard to finish the pond bank area, in addition to their regular duties, and do not need to be spending extra time picking rock off of the ice—if you see something, please report it to the Taylor County Sheriff’s Dept! Thank you for your help! Two valuable hours of our DPW employees time were wasted picking them off of the pond!
With the holidays landing on Saturdays- the Recycle/Trash collection site will be open extra hours Wed. Dec 29 and Wed Jan 5, 2022 from 4 pm to 7 pm. No hours on Christmas Day and New Years day! Happy Holidays!
Happy Thanksgiving to All- A safe and Happy Hunting season to all also! The office will be closed on Thursday in observance of the holiday.
Two seats are up for re-election on the Board.
Ordinance #247 prohibits parking on village streets Nov. 1 to April 1 between the hours of midnight and 7 am to allow for the DPW employees to clear the streets free of snow. Please cooperate and if you see someone parking on street, remind them of the ordinance! Everyone wants a clear street in the morning to get to school/work/appointments!
Here is the newsletter that is enclosed in the monthly utility bill.
Memorial Trees are available at the pond. Many species of maples have been planted. Tree and plaque with your choice of sentiment is available for a cost of $100. Please contact the office at 715-678-2191 or email [email protected] if you wish to host a tree in memory of a loved one. Also a great Christmas gift for that person who is hard to buy for—the person/family does not have to be passed to be remembered at the park.
Memorial trees are available for purchase for $100 to remember and honor your loved one! Contact village Clerk’s office. A plaque will be placed near tree with your sentiment. Sixteen trees were planted by the pond this past week and twelve remain to be sold as memorial trees. They are all species of maples.
